Blackjack is the most played card game around the world and the most popular casino game. It’s a simple and fun game to learn with an element of suspense, combining chance and skill offering lots of interaction between the players and the dealer.
How to play Blackjack
The aim of blackjack is to get a total value as close to 21 as possible without going over 21 and to beat the dealers total. Each player received 2 cards and the dealer one card. Players then either take more cards (draw) or stick with what they’ve go (stand). If the total 22 or more then the player is ‘bust’ and loses their bet. When all the players have finished the dealer takes his cards to finish his hand. If the dealer has a total of 16 or less he must draw another card, if he has 17 or more then he must stand! If the dealer busts then all players in the game get paid! If the players total is more than the dealer he wins even money, if less he loses and if it is the same it is a ‘standoff’ so he keeps his bet.
Number cards are their face value, Kings, Queens and Jacks all count as 10 and Ace is 1 or 11 whichever is better. The best possible hand is ‘Blackjack’ which is an ace with any ten card which pays more = 3 to 2.
